This couple’s love story began as they worked on a political campaign trail, so it was a natural decision that the invitation would reflect their love of politics. This suite was also different in that it needed two invitations—one for the traditional American wedding on Saturday and also an invitation for the traditional Ethiopian Melse ceremony to be held the next day. The designs used a similar layout, but different colors and graphic elements differentiated them. The response card was a clever ballot that asked guests to cast their votes for things like reception music and honeymoon destinations. A details card titled ‘Voter Accommodations’ was included with travel-related information. A policy envelope kept the invitation looking official, and of course was finished with patriotic postage stamps.
