​Jay and Sarah wanted to utilize a variety of materials and techniques, starting with the Save the Date, so a fabric chain of lovebirds was designed to put a twist on the traditional paper chain. The invitation was a layered surprise—lovebirds were visible through the birdcage printed on the vellum envelope. Upon opening, it was revealed that the birds were die cut out of the invitation and printed fabric was placed behind. The die cut RSVP and envelope sat inside a bird’s nest and a ‘secret’ message was revealed upon removing the RSVP—an invitation to visit the couple’s wedding website.
