With the end of 2016 nigh, we’re making some predictions about color trends we’re starting to see gain momentum. And I have to say, they’re two of my favorites. Blush pink is still pulling very strong but we’ll start start to see it step down to a supporting role.
Dusty, slate blue is gaining popularity, so think vintage suede shoes, agave plants, moody skies, and fine china. It’s a great sidestep for... Read more
It’s been awhile since we’ve been a part of styled shoot, so it was nothing but fun to work with a new team of local Houston vendors! Soft pinks and dusty greens pulled from Texas Hill Country sunsets were the inspiration behind the details. A huge thanks to Luke and Cat Photography for capturing the beautiful collaborative work! And, if our invitation suite strikes your fancy, it’s now been added to our Shop for customization and purchase. Enjoy!

While graphic design goes a long way in creating a superior wedding invitation, an exceptional invitation also needs a great foundation—and that foundation is paper. There are thousands of paper options available in just about any finish, weight, material, and of course, color. If you’re pondering how to truly make your invitation stand out, a great place to start is deciding what’s going to carry that great design to the next level. When a guest pulls out the invitation from your... Read more
I can’t believe a year has passed since we had the privilege of working with Elizabeth and Rhys, but it only makes the anticipation of these photos from KT Merry all the more beautiful. For their save the date, we started with real walnut wood and pressed gold foil over it. For the invitation, we upped the formality and did gold foil on white, woodgrain embossed paper. To incorporate these styles into their wedding day pieces, walnut wood was used for guest bag tags, table numbers and place cards. Gold calligraphy was used on the tags and place cards while the table... Read more
Now that we’ve officially settled into our new Houston studio, it’s back to work this week. Today I began a new sketch for a wedding taking place in beautiful Cape Cod, Massachusetts. This will eventually be painted and end up on a custom Save the Date (so stay tuned!). Thanks for bearing with us as we made the move and, if you’re in the Houston area, we’d love to meet you!
We’re making big changes this week as we move our studio from Pennsylvania to Texas! We’re looking forward to continuing to work with clients all over the country and developing new personal contacts in the Southeastern Texas region. Please excuse our shop being closed (except for envelopes and liners which will still be processed and shipped as normal), as we make this transition. You can still place your order, but please note that orders placed between 8/12 and 8/28 will not be processed until 8/31. As a thank you for your patience, please use promo code MISSEDYOU upon... We’re wrapping up Ashley and Jace’s stationery, but just had to share a delightful detail they’ve included on their invitation cards. By increasing the paper thickness, we were able to bring in a cost-efficient way to add their accent color of metallic gold. True metallics aren’t possible with digital printing, but by painting the edges of their card by hand, they were still able to incorporate it. Plus, who doesn’t love a little hidden detail?
Finally! Although their wedding was back in February, we have finally posted Cara and Stefan’s stunning invitation in the Custom Gallery. This was our first custom wedding in Australia and Cara and Stefan were such a pleasure to work with (of course who isn’t jealous of that delightful accent?). They were great proof that distance is no match when you find the right wedding vendor! After figuring out time differences, we Skyped and set out to design their woodland-inspired invitation. Cara knew she wanted to use real wood, but the rest of the details were in... Read more
We’ve been noticing this spring the rumblings of an upcoming (and totally delightful) trend—pineapples! Any why not? They’re totally quirky, tropical and fun, which is everything a great summer wedding bash should be. Follow us on Pinterest and take a peek at our Pining for Pineapple board!
We have been so blessed to work with Cara and Stefan on their custom wedding invitation. Cara’s ideas were like nothing we’ve done before so stay tuned for the photos. In the meantime, you won’t want to miss this cinematic intro to their emotional wedding, set in the lush landscape of Australia. Thanks to What Pete Shot for sharing this with us! It’s always a pleasure to see our couples enjoying the culmination of months of planning!
The studio is picking up momentum again as we enter the new year! I’m already working on some fresh ideas for the store and of course for custom design clients as well! Take a peek at the new Theroux return address stamp and keep checking for new items throughout the year!
