Hill Country Sunset Styled Shoot

Posted on August 02, 2016

It’s been awhile since we’ve been a part of styled shoot, so it was nothing but fun to work with a new team of local Houston vendors! Soft pinks and dusty greens pulled from Texas Hill Country sunsets were the inspiration behind the details. A huge thanks to Luke and Cat Photography for capturing the beautiful collaborative work! And, if our invitation suite strikes your fancy, it’s now been added to our Shop for customization and purchase. Enjoy!

Wedding Invitation Paper Options and Alternatives

Posted on April 22, 2016
Canaletto: Italian, cotton watercolor papers
Neenah Canaletto and Wild: Cotton, watercolor-type papers in heavy thicknesses

While graphic design goes a long way in creating a superior wedding invitation, an exceptional invitation also needs a great foundation—and that foundation is paper. There are thousands of paper options available in just about any finish, weight, material, and of course, color. If you’re pondering how to truly make your invitation stand out, a great place to start is deciding what’s going to carry that great design to the next level. When a guest pulls out the invitation from your... Read more

How to use and adhere vintage postage stamps

Posted on November 12, 2015

It’s hard not to notice the rising trend of using vintage postage stamps on wedding stationery; we suppose the old saying is true that ‘they don’t make ‘em like they used to’. The postage stamps of the past have a beautiful matte finish and their engraved images lend a raised, tactile feel to the surface. They really are tiny pieces of art. However, one thing we are thankful for in modern stamp designs is the self-adhesive backing. Who doesn’t remember the taste after licking and adhering a postage stamp?

When you’re adhering hundreds of stamps on wedding... Read more

Tuscany sketching

Posted on February 17, 2015
It’s right about now when it’s 0 degrees outside, that working on summer weddings becomes a sweet escape. It’s the perfect time to pour a cup of coffee and start sketching for warmer times. This week I’m working on some watercolor illustrations for a summer destination wedding in Tuscany—can’t you feel that golden sunshine warming your face already? Although we have a few months to go, stay tuned for the finished piece!

Pantone and envelope color matches

Posted on February 09, 2015

I’m excited to introduce an ever-so-helpful Shop feature added this week! We’ve added Pantone® color swatch number matches to most of the envelope and envelope liner products in the Shop. Colors on screens can vary and some are even hard to produce on a screen, so this added feature will help ensure that the product you receive will meet your expectations. It’s also perfect if you’re trying to coordinate your printed ink color to an envelope or liner. Enjoy!

After the invitation: Jen & Chris

Posted on November 21, 2014

figure style=“text-align: left;” Chasing the winter blues away today with photos from Jen and Chris’ coastal Maine wedding in September! We had the privilege of working with the couple starting with their invitation all the way through their custom thank you cards. Each component of their stationery was hand-drawn and hand-painted to give it a truly personal, yet relaxed, vibe. Being a destination wedding, it was important for guests to feel well cared for so a whole weekend of events was planned, starting with a beautiful, evening sail. Their custom stationery package... Green Ivy and Neutral Wedding

Posted on October 19, 2014

We love getting a peek of the actual weddings we get to design for, and Alison and Kyle’s classic wedding is no exception. Their invitation was timeless; set in traditional typefaces and then gold foiled on luxurious cotton paper. To further reflect the elegant Drumore Estate, and in particular the gardens, we incorporated some of the beautiful green ivy found on the property for their day-of stationery. This included programs, table numbers, name cards held in birch tree stumps, a weekend events card, and guest box labels. Thank you Wiebners for the gorgeous photography!

Postcard Escort Cards

Posted on August 30, 2014

Putting the final touches on these miniature postcard-style escort cards today. It’s been such a pleasure working with Jen, the bride, on her day-of stationery! We can tell how much she cares about her guests having a great time and is crafting a most-memorable experience for them. The details she has thought of is surely to leave a lasting impression on them. These little cards will be part of a much larger display that we are excited to see come together. Each postcard represents a city that Jen and Chris have traveled to and directs guests to a coordinating table. The... Read more

After the invitation: Lisa & Sean

Posted on August 06, 2014

We are so privileged to work with wonderful people all over the country (and even the world). While we rarely get to attend the weddings we design stationery for, we always enjoy a virtual visit afterwards through the beautiful photographs. It’s such a treat to see how the couple’s planning paid off and how everything was visually brought together. Because the invitation is the first glimpse into a wedding for a guest, it’s an extra honor to sit down with our clients at the start and kick-start the design process for what’s to come.

Today we were treated to Lisa... Read more
