Finally! Although their wedding was back in February, we have finally posted Cara and Stefan’s stunning invitation in the Custom Gallery. This was our first custom wedding in Australia and Cara and Stefan were such a pleasure to work with (of course who isn’t jealous of that delightful accent?). They were great proof that distance is no match when you find the right wedding vendor! After figuring out time differences, we Skyped and set out to design their woodland-inspired invitation. Cara knew she wanted to use real wood, but the rest of the details were in our hands.

We landed on walnut wood for it’s dramatic dark grain and it also lent itself well to the contrasting paper and envelopes. Laser engraving extends the production time, but the results are completely worth it. A paper pocket made from speckled ivory paper lightened things up and conveniently kept all the cards together. The draping vines from the invitation was repeated in white on the ivory info cards. And as for that envelope printing—printing in white ink opens up amazing opportunities! All in all a truly one-of-a-kind pieces that we were privileged to be a part of.
